Following on from the launch of our KISS note maker, the Simmonds Stewart team have been chatting with the tech startup community in Southeast Asia about which of our legal templates to automate next.
Our employee share option plan (ESOP) was a popular suggestion, and not being ones to sit around thinking about things, we’ve burnt the midnight oil and automated not only the ESOP rules, but also the individual letter of grant and option certificate.
You can whizz through our multi-page web forms to complete your ESOP rules, letters and certificates in no time, selecting from terms in common use in Southeast Asia.
Once you’ve completed the forms, you can download them in Word to edit further and get signoff from your local lawyer. When you’re ready, you can also download the documents as PDFs for signing.
Visitors to our automated templates get their own user account by signing in via our standard LinkedIn Login, so once you’ve saved a form, you can come back to it as many times as you like to change any of the variables or to reuse prior forms data (e.g. to generate a grant letter for a new option holder by changing the details specific to that individual).
Like all our other document generators, the automated ESOP together with the user account is entirely free.
Finally, there are plenty of variables to consider when drafting ESOP rules and our document generator is just a template at the end of the day. Check out my e27 blog from 2016 on the topic. If you would like to discuss your ESOP in more detail, or indeed capital raising generally, drop either me or Chris Wilson an email and we’d be happy to have a chat.
