This is the first in a series of 10 videos presented by Lee Bagshaw on negotiating Series A term sheets in Southeast Asia.  The aim of the videos is to help start-up founders understand the technical content of a typical term sheet, and to highlight the areas that are best to focus on in negotiations with potential investors.

The videos are based around a typical term sheet which you can download above.  The term sheet is marked up from a start-up founders’ perspective, and we recommend you watch the video with the mark-up in front of you as Lee refers to it often.

This first video gives a general introduction to the term sheet and explains how to approach negotiations with your investor.
