We are looking for a talented legal graduate to join our Auckland office in early 2024.

As a junior lawyer in our team, you will:

• get fantastic hands-on experience, including helping startups and other companies with their capital raisings, governance work, and other transactions
• learn to review and draft tech and other commercial contracts
• quickly develop your soft skills, working directly with partners and clients.

You will also have plenty of involvement in international work – many of our clients are New Zealand companies working with international customers, investors, and acquirers.

We encourage all of our lawyers to help in our business development activity, including promoting the firm and our clients on social media.  

The experience you gain with us will give you a tremendous start to your legal career.

requirements for the role

To qualify for this role, you must:

• have recently completed, or be completing in 2023, a law degree at a New Zealand University
• have an average grade across your law papers of B+ or higher
• be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident
• have an impeccable command of written and spoken English
• have confidence.

Also, you will ideally have:

• an interest in technology and/or entrepreneurship
• a conjoint or second degree
